Infortrend EonCloud Gateway connects EonStor GS-family local storage with public and private cloud services. It is designed for enterprise storage environments that need file- and block-level cloud operations, including caching, synchronization, backup, replication, archiving, and tiering. The gateway is licensed for compatible Infortrend systems, so it suits organizations already standardizing on that storage family more directly than teams seeking an independent, cloud-hosted gateway.

Its strongest area is protocol and cloud-target coverage. EonCloud Gateway supports NFS, CIFS, FTP, Rsync, Fibre Channel, and iSCSI, giving storage teams options across file and block workflows. It connects with Amazon S3, Microsoft Azure, Alibaba Cloud, Google Cloud, OpenStack, Baidu Cloud, Tencent Cloud, Wasabi, Yandex Object Storage, hiCloud, HCP, and Backblaze Cloud. File ACL synchronization, cache policies for access priority and retention, cloud connection and performance monitoring, compression, deduplication, encryption, and SSL-protected cloud transfers add control for distributed storage environments.

The product also offers a 90-day trial and Standard, Enterprise, and Ultimate license levels. Its feature set covers both local caching and edge synchronization, while cloud volume replication supports broader continuity and data-movement needs. Deployment remains self-hosted, and the gateway is tied to compatible Infortrend systems, which narrows its fit for organizations without that hardware platform. Choose it when broad protocol support, multiple cloud targets, and combined file-and-block capabilities matter. Consider another gateway when you need a standalone service that is not dependent on compatible Infortrend storage.
