Our verdict on IM-Magic Partition Resizer

IM-Magic Partition Resizer is Windows disk-partition management software for home users, businesses, and server administrators. Its core tools resize, shrink, extend, move, and merge partitions, while also redistributing unallocated space. The software can clone disks, copy partitions, migrate an operating system to another disk, convert MBR disks to GPT, and convert NTFS to FAT32. It also includes tools to wipe, format, delete, and create partitions, with rollback protection for partition operations. The product is intended for Windows PCs and servers rather than users seeking cross-platform disk management.

The free Resizer Free edition is for home users on Windows PCs and includes partition resizing and moving, partition merging, and MBR-to-GPT conversion. Resizer Pro costs $59 one time, covers two PCs, adds commercial use, bootable media, a lifetime license, and free upgrades. Resizer Server costs $139 one time for two servers and adds Windows Server support, bootable WinPE media, RAID support, and a lifetime license option. Resizer Unlimited costs $399 one time for company-wide installation and PC and server management, while Resizer Technician costs $599 one time for technician services, company-wide use, and commercial use.

Its strongest fit is for Windows users who want partition operations and a lifetime licensing model without a recurring subscription. The free edition covers common home-user tasks, while paid editions expand licensing and add bootable media for commercial, server, company-wide, and technician scenarios. Support includes both MBR and GPT partition tables and the listed FAT12, FAT16, FAT32, and NTFS filesystems. Choose it when Windows coverage and one-time pricing are priorities; users needing another operating system or broader filesystem coverage should consider an alternative.
