Humanforce review
A strong workforce scheduling platform, but a poor fit for candidate relationship management.
Reviewed by iTechGuides Editors · Editorial team · Updated Oct 2026
Humanforce is a workforce management and HCM platform for shift-based and frontline organisations. Its main focus is scheduling and labour operations: teams can manage demand-based rosters, automatic scheduling, availability, leave, open-shift bidding, shift swaps, time tracking, and compliance checks. Employees can access schedules, submit availability and leave requests, accept offered shifts, and communicate through the Humanforce Work app or web interface. For teams evaluating candidate relationship management software, the central question is fit: Humanforce is better aligned with managing an existing frontline workforce than with building candidate relationships.
Pricing is offered through two paid tiers, Core and Pro, with custom pricing for both. Core includes pre-built award interpretation and compliance, templated access levels with SSO and MFA, built-in dashboards, native reporting, and a REST API. Pro includes everything in Core and adds custom EBA and award configuration, custom access levels, audit logs, permissions, self-service dashboards with AI insights, a full API, and third-party integrations. There is no free plan. The published plan structure is therefore suited to organisations that need configurable workforce controls and are prepared to discuss requirements with the vendor.
Humanforce has a broad operational feature set, including labour forecasting, qualification matching, fatigue-rule compliance, labour-cost tracking, budget alerts, overtime warnings, profit-margin visibility, and mobile clocking. Its platform connections include Humanforce HR, Talent, Payroll, Benefits, AI & Analytics, Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, Outlook, and REST API access, with web, iOS, and Android support. Choose Humanforce when workforce scheduling, compliance, time tracking, and employee self-service are the priority. Choose a more recruiting-focused product when candidate relationship management is the primary requirement.
Humanforce pros and cons
- Where it wins
- AI scheduling considers demand, skills, availability, preferences, and compliance
- Mobile clocking supports GPS verification, QR codes, breaks, and timesheets
- Core and Pro plans include compliance, dashboards, reporting, and API access
- Where it doesn't
- Pricing is custom, with no disclosed starting price or per-user amount
- Its core capabilities focus on workforce operations rather than candidate relationships
- Feature availability may depend on organisation configuration and permissions
