HPE Aruba Networking Fabric Composer is software-defined orchestration software for provisioning, configuring, monitoring, and troubleshooting data-center network fabrics. It manages HPE Aruba Networking AOS-CX switches as a unified fabric and is aimed at enterprise data-center teams that need centralized control over routing, overlays, segmentation, and multi-site operations. The product is available through web, API, and self-hosted interfaces, with a centralized control plane and REST API support.
Its strongest capability is the breadth of fabric operations it brings into one management layer. Fabric Composer supports leaf-spine orchestration, switch discovery and initial setup, BGP and OSPF underlay configuration, and BGP EVPN and VXLAN overlay orchestration. It also manages VRFs, VLANs, link aggregation, and EVPN, while providing micro-segmentation and distributed firewall policy configuration. End-to-end topology and workload visibility, telemetry, alerts, audit logging, troubleshooting, and workflow automation extend the product beyond basic switch provisioning.
