Our verdict on HoMedics SoundSpa Recharged
HoMedics SoundSpa Recharged is a physical projection alarm clock with a sound machine, aimed at people who want several bedside functions in one device. It offers two separately settable alarms, snooze and gradual wake, with time projected onto a wall or ceiling. The projection orientation and focus are adjustable, so the display can be directed and brought into focus for a bedroom setup. An indoor temperature sensor, USB charging port and integrated smartphone holder extend its role beyond waking.
The sound options are a digital FM radio and eight nature sounds, each with volume control. That makes the clock suited to someone who prefers radio or a defined set of nature sounds at bedtime or wake-up; it is a narrower choice for listeners seeking a broader sound library. Its LCD backlight intensity is adjustable, while the projection, display, alarms and sound machine cover different parts of a bedside routine without changing the central focus on clock functions.
For outages, the backup battery retains clock time and alarm settings. This is useful protection for those settings, but it is described as retaining them rather than maintaining full clock operation through an outage. The temperature sensor is specifically for indoor temperature, not a general weather feature. Choose SoundSpa Recharged if adjustable projection, two alarms, radio or nature sounds, and bedside charging matter together. Consider another kind of product if you want a wider entertainment or weather feature set; this clock’s appeal is its combination of sleep and alarm functions in a physical bedside unit.
