Our verdict on HoMedics SoundSpa Digital FM Clock Radio with Time Projection
The HoMedics SoundSpa Digital FM Clock Radio with Time Projection is a plug-in alarm clock for people who want the time projected onto a surface as well as a conventional display. It has two independently settable alarms, and each can use a beep, one of eight nature sounds, or FM radio. Snooze and gradual wake provide additional wake-up options. Its combination of projection, radio, and dual alarms suits buyers looking for several bedside alarm features in one device.
Projection is a central part of the design: the projector can be switched on or off, repositioned, and focused to display the time on a flat surface. The display backlight intensity is adjustable as well. These controls make the clock more adaptable to different bedside placements and display preferences, though the projection is intended for a flat surface. Buyers who mainly want a simple alarm without projection or radio may find this feature mix unnecessary.
The clock includes a backup battery that retains the time and alarm settings during a power outage. Its radio sleep timer has four settings: 15, 30, 45, and 60 minutes. That supports timed radio playback as part of a bedtime routine, while the wake alarms can be configured separately. Choose the SoundSpa if projection, two alarms, FM radio, and nature-sound wake options are priorities. Consider a simpler clock if those functions are not needed.
