Hitachi Ops Center is a storage management suite for storage and data center administrators responsible for supported Hitachi storage infrastructure. Its components cover centralized administration, capacity and performance monitoring, provisioning, data protection workflows, automation, storage optimization and API-based management. The suite includes Common Services, Administrator, Automator, Analyzer, Protector and API Configuration Manager. It supports block-storage administration across Fibre Channel, iSCSI and NVMe over Fibre Channel environments, with web, Linux and API access. Organizations managing Hitachi storage estates are the clearest fit.
The suite’s operational depth is its main strength. Administrators can monitor capacity and receive pool utilization alerts, provision and allocate volumes, and select pools based on performance. Storage tiering and relocation can be automatic or manual, while preconfigured automation service templates help standardize recurring services.
