Our verdict on Handy Backup

Handy Backup is paid backup software for Windows computers, Windows Server systems, and selected Linux network machines. It suits individual users, professionals, small businesses, and organizations that need scheduled protection for files, folders, disks, databases, email, or virtual machines. The product supports local and external drives, NAS, network folders, FTP and SFTP destinations, WebDAV, and cloud storage services. Its one-time pricing starts at $39, and a 30-day full-featured trial is available.

The plan structure scales from personal file protection to centralized business backup. Handy Backup Standard costs $39 one time and covers file, folder, email, Windows Registry, and Libraries backup, with local, external-drive, NAS, FTP, and selected cloud destinations. Professional costs $89 one time and adds disk imaging, system backup, bootable USB recovery drives, FTPS, SFTP, and S3-based storage. Small Business costs $249 one time and adds database and disk-image backup, Microsoft Exchange, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, DB2, Hyper-V, VMware, and Windows Server support. Server Network costs $299 one time and provides centralized backup for workstations and servers, a network control panel, and Linux file backup support.

Its strongest fit is mixed backup rather than a narrow file-only workflow. Scheduled automatic backups can use incremental, differential, or mixed modes, while encryption, compression, versioning, and restoration to another location add control over recovery. Bare-metal recovery through bootable USB media is useful for system-level restoration, and integrations include Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox, Amazon S3, Box, OwnCloud, and S3-compatible storage. Choose Handy Backup if Windows coverage, broad backup scope, and one-time licensing matter most. Consider another product if mobile protection or broader platform coverage is central to the buying decision.
