Our verdict on GitClear
GitClear analyzes Git repositories, pull requests, issues, and AI coding activity for developers, engineering managers, executives, startups, and enterprise engineering teams. Its feature set covers code review analysis, delivery and DORA metrics, code-quality and velocity reporting, developer cohort comparisons, defect tracking, and AI ROI measurement. Hosted access is available through the web, with API access and an Enterprise on-premises option.
Pricing is structured around a free Starter plan and paid Pro, Elite, and Enterprise tiers. Starter supports personal use across up to 3 repositories, with a 6-month data analysis window, up to 2,000 commits, and up to 150 pull requests. Pro costs $14.95 per contributor per month with annual billing or $29 monthly, adding business use, 25 repositories, a 3-year analysis window, higher activity limits, and 10 AI Data Deep Dives per month. Elite costs $24.95 annually or $39 monthly per contributor and expands coverage to 250 repositories, a 5,500-day analysis window, and 50 monthly AI Data Deep Dives. Enterprise costs $34.95 annually or $49 monthly per contributor, with unlimited repositories, data analysis, commits, and pull requests; the annual plan includes 200 AI Data Deep Dives per month, while the monthly plan lists an on-premises option.
GitClear fits teams that need one view across engineering delivery, reliability, code quality, and AI-assisted development. Integrations include GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, Azure DevOps, Jira, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Augment, Gemini, and Codex. The REST API supports further access to analytics. Teams seeking only lightweight repository reporting may find its breadth and tier limits unnecessary, while organizations needing broad engineering and AI measurement have a clearer reason to consider it.
