Our verdict on GiGi
GiGi is an AI coach within HeyGiGi, a web-based mental-health education membership for adults. It supports conversations about emotions, relationships, parenting, stress and everyday challenges. Users can ask questions, request content recommendations, practise difficult conversations through role-play, and explore brain science and self-regulation tools. The broader service adds learning journeys, articles, videos, games, Sparks, personal toolkits, conversation history, context summaries and live community conversations. It is intended for everyday emotional support and self-reflection, not clinical care or emergency response.
Its strongest fit is breadth around relationships and parenting. GiGi combines open-ended AI conversations with structured lesson plans, grounding activities, guided learning journeys and daily mental-health games. Role-play gives the service a focused use case for preparing difficult conversations, while recommendations from the HeyGiGi content library extend conversations into activities and educational material. Saved toolkits and context summaries support returning to useful content and prior discussion themes.
The published plans show a freemium model. The free account includes ten GiGi messages per day, and a seven-day free trial is available. Premium Monthly costs $14.99 per month, while Premium Annual costs $149.99 per year. Both paid plans include the full HeyGiGi experience, talk and role-play with GiGi, and access to daily games, Sparks, learning journeys, videos, articles and activities. GiGi is web-only, so it is less suitable for buyers seeking a mobile app. Anyone needing therapy, clinical support or crisis assistance should choose an appropriate human or emergency service instead.
