Our verdict on FreeWorship
FreeWorship is desktop presentation software for churches, worship teams, and live events. It brings song lyrics, Bible passages, images, videos, PowerPoint presentations, websites, countdowns, and alerts into a worship-service presentation workflow. Its feature set also includes slide previews, customizable text and background styling, song and Bible imports, slide sets, service-item management, multiple-projector output, and a separate stage display with current and upcoming slide information. The free edition makes it a practical starting point for Windows churches moving beyond basic presentation tools.
The published plans show a useful split between no-cost core presentation features and paid workflow additions. FreeWorship Free is free forever and includes songs, Bible passages, images, videos, presentations, customizable styling, slide sets, and email support. A 14-day free trial is also available. FreeWorship Pro Subscription costs £12.99 per month and adds QuickEdit+, Bible search, SongSelect integration, website projection, video colour adjustments, and drag-and-drop service items. The FreeWorship Pro Site Licence costs £250 one time and includes Pro features, all updates to FreeWorship Pro 3, and lifetime access to Pro support and existing functionality.
Platform and ecosystem fit are central considerations. FreeWorship runs on Windows and integrates with CCLI SongSelect, PowerPoint, Google Slides, Dropbox, VLC, OpenLP, OpenSong, SongPro, and SongShow Plus. Multiple-projector output, selectable display screens, and a dedicated stage display suit services that need separate congregation and presenter views. Churches that need SongSelect, Bible search, website projection, or video adjustments should choose Pro; those needing only core presentation and media playback can start with FreeWorship Free. Organizations working outside Windows should consider software that supports their platform.
