FranklyMail review
A low-cost choice for high-volume domain email, with broad protocols but no calendar.

FranklyMail is hosted email for people and organizations using domains they own. It suits individuals, households, teams, and companies that need to administer many mailboxes without per-mailbox pricing. One account includes unlimited mailboxes, domains, and aliases, with storage pooled across the account rather than assigned to each mailbox. Email is available through webmail, IMAP, POP3, JMAP, and SMTP submission, with access on web, iOS, Android, and API-supported workflows.
Pricing is straightforward. According to the vendor’s published plan, the FranklyMail account costs $9 per account per year, billed annually, and includes 10 GB of pooled storage. The Extra storage option costs $0.40 per GB per year, also billed annually, and is purchased in 5 GB blocks. The pooled model is useful when storage needs vary between mailboxes, though organizations should account for additional storage charges as the account grows. There is no free plan, so even smaller deployments begin on the paid annual plan.
Administration is the product’s strongest area. Server-side Sieve filters, two-factor authentication, app passwords, DNS record verification, a mailbox migration importer, and an HTTP API cover common operational needs. The service also works with Apple Mail, Thunderbird, the Gmail app for Android, Claude, and ChatGPT. Its focus is narrower than a broader workplace suite: calendar features are not included, and mobile access uses third-party apps. Choose FranklyMail for domain email with many mailboxes, aliases, or domains; choose an alternative if integrated calendar functionality is central to your workflow.
