Our verdict on FOX Weather
FOX Weather combines forecasts, interactive radar, severe-weather warnings, widgets and weather video in an Android app, with web access also available. Its general weather focus suits people who want a daily forecast alongside live coverage and radar, rather than a tool centered on one narrow weather use. Forecasts extend up to 14 days, while hourly detail covers 48 hours. The free tier is available without sign-in, so the core proposition can be explored without starting a subscription.
The forecast and radar features give the app more range than a forecast-only experience. Users can view interactive 2D and 3D radar with custom map layers, save and customize locations, and receive severe-weather alerts by push notification. Widgets show weather metrics and warnings, while historical weather views add context beyond the current forecast. FOX FutureView supports event planning with long-range forecasts. For people who prefer video, 24/7 live weather streaming and on-demand clips are central differentiators; the combination makes sense for users who want coverage as well as quick checks of conditions.
FOX Weather Premium is offered in monthly and yearly plans. According to the published plan details, both remove in-app display ads and pre-roll ads on video clips; the free tier remains an option for users who do not need those ad removals. Livestream advertising remains, including for Premium subscribers, so the paid tier does not make all video viewing ad-free. The listed Premium benefits focus on advertising rather than additional forecast or radar tools. Choose FOX Weather if live video, alerts and layered radar matter alongside a longer-range forecast. People who need hourly detail beyond 48 hours or a paid plan centered on extra weather capabilities may prefer to compare alternatives.
