Our verdict on Folveo
Folveo is a desktop AI presentation maker for teachers, students, marketers, sales teams, freelancers, and small businesses. Users describe a topic, review an AI-generated outline, and create editable slides with images and interactive elements. The application runs on Windows, macOS, and Linux, supports offline work, stores slides locally, and exports presentations to PDF and PowerPoint. Its solo focus makes it a practical fit for people who want local presentation creation rather than a shared cloud workspace.
The feature set extends beyond prompt-to-deck generation. Folveo supports interactive quizzes, polls, what-if charts, and step-by-step reveals, alongside dual-screen presenting with speaker view, a pointer, and drawing tools. Templates, design-system controls, and a brand kit cover logos, colors, and brand fonts. PowerPoint import is supported, while editable PowerPoint export is available on Pro. Local AI assistant support is included without separate Folveo AI fees, which suits creators who want AI help while keeping slides and offline work on their computer.
Pricing is accessible across four plans. Free is available forever and includes unlimited AI slide generation, PDF and PowerPoint export, automatic consistent design, and presenter tools, but exports carry a watermark. Pro Monthly costs $3.99 per month and removes the watermark, adds editable PowerPoint export, future Pro features, and priority support. Pro Annual costs $39 per year, while Founder Lifetime costs $129 one time and includes all Pro features. Folveo is a strong choice for solo presenters and small teams prioritizing offline desktop work, branding, and interactive delivery. Teams needing collaboration or document-to-deck verification should choose an alternative.
