Our verdict on Fivenines

Fivenines is a cloud infrastructure-monitoring platform for DevOps teams, MSPs, hosting providers, and solo operators. It brings Linux and Windows server metrics, Docker containers, Proxmox virtual machines, network devices, websites, and scheduled jobs into one dashboard. Monitoring can use an open-source outbound agent for host metrics, while uptime and SNMP checks work agentlessly. The platform also includes configurable alerts, status pages, custom dashboards, workflows, a REST API, and a Terraform provider.

Pricing is structured around four tiers. Starter costs €15 per month and includes 15 monitors, 3 team members, Telegram and Discord alerts, and 6 months of data retention. Pro costs €40 per month and raises the allowance to 50 monitors and 10 team members, adding Slack and Teams alerts, 12 months of retention, white-label status pages, and security vulnerability scanning. Business costs €79 per month, with 100 monitors, 25 team members, PagerDuty and webhook alerts, 24 months of retention, and SAML SSO. Enterprise includes 300+ monitors, 50+ team members, check intervals down to 5 seconds, a dedicated support contact, and custom SLA and onboarding.

Its main strength is breadth: Fivenines covers servers, containers, virtual machines, network equipment, infrastructure services such as Ceph and RabbitMQ, uptime protocols, cron jobs, and workflow automation. Alerts can route through email, Slack, Microsoft Teams, Telegram, Discord, Pushover, PagerDuty, and webhooks. That scope suits small teams seeking one cloud service for mixed environments. Teams requiring self-hosted monitoring should look elsewhere, because the dashboard, storage, and alerting backend are SaaS-only. Fivenines is also a newer option, founded in 2024, making it a better fit for buyers who prioritize coverage and integrations over a long operating history.
