Our verdict on FireDaemon Fusion

FireDaemon Fusion is a standalone Windows web application for managing built-in Windows services and FireDaemon Pro services through a browser. It is intended for individuals, businesses, enterprises, system administrators, software vendors, and integrators that need remote or centralized service administration across multiple computers. The product supports Windows 10 and 11, with web, Windows, and API access. It is a focused service-control product rather than a conventional startup-item manager, so it suits teams managing Windows services more closely than users organizing startup entries.

Pricing is structured around two one-time licenses. FireDaemon Fusion 8 costs $45 and includes a perpetual license for one laptop, workstation, server, or virtual machine; volume discounts are available. FireDaemon Fusion 8 OEM costs $1,500 one time and adds embedding and redistribution within installers, images, and deployment systems, with royalty-free redistribution and one year of annual maintenance included. A 30-day free trial is available, but there is no free plan. The plan split is straightforward for direct administration, while software vendors and integrators need the higher-priced OEM tier for redistribution rights.

Fusion’s strongest fit is centralized Windows service operations: administrators can manage services remotely, review system, process, session, and service information, and apply role-based user accounts and service permissions. HTTPS/TLS access, custom certificates, IPv4 and IPv6 binding, and reverse-proxy integration with Nginx, Varnish, and Caddy support deployment in varied environments. The RESTful API with CORS support also gives automation a defined integration path. Choose Fusion when browser-based Windows service control and centralized access are priorities; choose a conventional startup manager when startup-entry inspection, portable distribution, startup-item limits, or dedicated startup-delay controls are central requirements.
