Our verdict on Files.com

Files.com is a cloud-based file orchestration and managed file transfer platform for businesses that move, store, share, transform, and route files. It supports managed SFTP, FTP, FTPS, and WebDAV endpoints, secure Share Links, request inboxes, workflow automation, APIs, SDKs, CLI tools, audit logs, and desktop and mobile access. Its published capabilities suit organizations connecting internal teams, external partners, applications, cloud storage, and on-premises systems. The platform was founded in 2008 and is provided by Action Verb LLC dba Files.com.

Pricing reflects an enterprise infrastructure focus. The Starter plan costs $199 per month and includes 10 Full Users, 50 System Users, 1 TB of monthly storage and transfer, transfer protocols, automations, Sync Flows, Inboxes, Share Links, API, CLI, and SDKs. Power costs $499 per month and adds 20 Full Users, 100 System Users, 2 TB of monthly storage and transfer, SSO/SAML, IP allowlisting, password policies, a custom domain, a dedicated IP, On-Premise Agent, AS2, and GPG encryption. Enterprise uses custom-quoted pricing and adds an SLA with uptime guarantee, HIPAA BAA, DORA addendum, multi-region storage, and full onboarding and migration assistance. A 7-day free trial is available.

The strongest fit is for teams that need controlled, repeatable file movement rather than occasional person-to-person transfers. Integrations include Amazon S3, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Storage, Box, Dropbox, Power Automate, Azure Logic Apps, Zapier, Boomi, and MuleSoft. Desktop mounted-drive, turbo-transfer, sync, mobile sharing, file transformation, and native AI capabilities broaden the platform beyond endpoint management. REST APIs, SDKs, CLI tools, and Terraform integrations support application-led operations. However, the $199 monthly entry price and 5 GB maximum file size make it a weaker choice for general transfers or large individual files. Choose Files.com for managed enterprise workflows; choose a simpler transfer service for occasional sharing.
