Our verdict on Facelab
Facelab is a mobile AI photo editor for iOS and Android, aimed at people who want quick retouching for selfies, portraits and group photos. Its toolset covers automatic photo enhancement, blemish removal, skin retouching, virtual makeup, hair-color changes, teeth whitening, eye enhancement, filters, and face and body reshaping. AI-based face detection supports edits to individual faces in group photos, while background blur and removal extend the app beyond facial adjustments. It fits solo users and small teams that primarily create or refine images on mobile devices.
The free plan makes the app accessible, and a seven-day trial provides a way to explore premium capabilities before choosing a paid plan. Premium Weekly, Premium Monthly and Premium Annual provide premium photo-editing tools, while Lifetime Premium provides full access to premium tools. The plan structure suits users who want flexible access, but the available plan highlights do not distinguish individual tools by tier. Facelab is therefore easier to evaluate as a focused retouching app than as a full photo-production suite.
Its strongest fit is fast, appearance-focused editing rather than detailed, layered image work. The combination of enhancement, skin cleanup, makeup, hair color, reshaping, background tools and multi-face editing gives mobile creators a broad set of portrait controls in one app. However, the product is limited to mobile deployment and does not include verified layers, RAW support or batch editing. Choose Facelab for convenient iOS or Android face and body retouching; choose an alternative if desktop workflows, non-destructive layers, RAW files or high-volume batch processing are central to your work.
