Our verdict on EZDERM
EZDERM is a cloud-based platform for dermatology practices that want clinical documentation, specialty procedures, practice administration and revenue-cycle work in one system. Its Ezehr module covers dermatology-specific charting, an interactive 3D body map, lesion tracking, Mohs surgery, pathology and biopsy logging, malignancy records, isotretinoin and cosmetic workflows. The platform also includes patient engagement through Ezportal, with digital consents, document sharing, check-in and access to visit information. Web, Windows, macOS and iOS support lets practices use the system across clinical and administrative settings.
The strongest case for EZDERM is the depth of its dermatology workflow coverage. More than 1,100 customizable treatment plans, dermatology templates, longitudinal lesion records and automated ICD-10, CPT and E/M coding are designed around specialty documentation. Practice management adds scheduling, billing and reporting, while revenue-cycle management handles claims workflows. The Mohs and pathology modules make the platform relevant to practices whose work extends beyond routine office visits. Pricing is contact-sales and varies by practice size and needs; the vendor states a standard 24-month contract.
EZDERM connects with Surescripts, Square and Healthmonix, and includes an AI-powered Eve ecosystem. Support is offered through email, phone, chat and documentation, though 24/7 coverage is not provided. The cloud-only deployment and device split—Apple devices for EHR use, with Mac or Windows computers supporting practice management and the portal—should fit organizations comfortable with hosted software. Practices seeking broad dermatology-specific workflows, surgical and pathology tracking, and integrated financial operations should consider EZDERM; buyers needing on-premises deployment or round-the-clock support should evaluate alternatives.
