Our verdict on ExpenseOnDemand

ExpenseOnDemand brings employee expense management and accounts-payable invoice automation into a finance operations platform for growing businesses and enterprise organisations. It covers receipt capture, reimbursements, mileage, budgets, policy controls, approvals and reporting, alongside corporate-card transaction reconciliation and virtual card management through Pliant. Teams looking to coordinate employee spending and invoice workflows in one system may find its breadth useful; businesses seeking physical card issuance should consider whether its virtual-card approach fits.

According to the vendor's pricing page, Essential costs $6.37 per active user per month with annual billing. It includes expense reporting and audit trails, approval by a line manager or finance manager, mileage tracking, accounting integrations, and budget and policy controls. Premium costs $9.10 per active user per month with annual billing and adds auto approvals, credit-card support, foreign exchange and additional expense fields. Enterprise has custom pricing and adds multi-country and multi-company support, open APIs, advanced limits and controls, and multiple-level approvals. There is no free plan listed in the published plans.

Platform coverage includes web, iOS, Android and API access. Accounting and ERP integrations include Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, Tally, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics and Sage Intacct. Multi-entity and multi-currency support make it relevant to organisations managing spending across companies or currencies, while GPS mileage tracking and mobile expense capture address employee submissions. The trade-off is that the card offering described here is virtual through Pliant, and several capabilities—including auto approvals and foreign exchange—require Premium. Choose ExpenseOnDemand if you want expenses and AP automation with budget controls and annual per-user pricing; look elsewhere if physical cards are essential or you need a free plan.
