Excloud Object Storage review
A focused S3 storage service for teams that need core object operations at a low listed price.

Excloud Object Storage provides cloud-based S3-compatible buckets for storing and serving objects through standard APIs, tools, and SDKs. It is suited to small and mid-market teams that need straightforward object storage rather than a broader data-management platform. The service supports uploads, downloads, multipart transfers, range reads, presigned GET and HEAD URLs, public object URLs, and encryption at rest enabled by default. Access is available through web and API interfaces, with Mumbai documented as the region.
Pricing is split across storage, request classes, and transfer. The Storage plan is priced at 1.3 INR per GiB per month, with hourly metering; the pricing notes count a month as 720 hours. Class A requests cost 390 INR per million requests and cover writes such as PUT, COPY, POST, and LIST. Class B requests cost 31 INR per million requests and cover GET and HEAD operations. Ingress and egress are described as free, covering upload and download transfer. The published tooling includes AWS CLI, AWS SDKs, boto3, rclone, MinIO mc, and Terraform, giving existing S3-oriented workflows a direct integration path.
Its focus is deliberately narrow. Excloud supports core storage and transfer operations, but does not support object versioning, lifecycle policies, object lock or WORM, or replication. That makes it a practical fit for simple buckets, application assets, backups that do not require built-in retention controls, and data-serving workloads with predictable S3 tooling needs. Teams requiring automated lifecycle transitions, immutable retention, replicated storage, or deeper storage-management controls should choose an alternative with those capabilities. Support is provided through email and documentation, and the service offers a one-day refund period.
Excloud Object Storage pros and cons
- Where it wins
- S3-compatible API works with AWS CLI, SDKs, boto3, and Terraform
- Multipart uploads, range reads, and presigned URLs support common workflows
- Encryption at rest is enabled by default, with Mumbai region availability
- Where it doesn't
- No object versioning or lifecycle rules for automated data management
- No immutability or replication scope for retention and redundancy needs
- Class A and Class B requests are billed separately from storage
