Our verdict on Eventvisor

Eventvisor is an open-source, Git-based control plane for analytics events and logs. It is designed for developers and teams that define tracking contracts, schemas, destinations, tests, and routing rules as code. The product supports browser, Node.js, Java, React, and React Native integrations, with SDK modules for transports, persistence, diagnostics, lookups, and third-party destinations. Its scope covers web, mobile, and server-side collection, with event routing included in the product’s category capabilities.

Governance is the central strength. Teams can validate schemas and payloads, apply conditional routing, transform and enrich payloads, filter and sample events, and generate static JSON datafiles. Declarative testing and linting support quality checks before deployment, while Sets and Promotions provide multiple environments. SDKs perform validation, transformation, filtering, sampling, and local routing without contacting a hosted Eventvisor service. That architecture fits teams that want event behavior represented in version-controlled configuration and delivered through application or service infrastructure.

The integration surface includes Amplitude, Datadog, Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, Mixpanel, New Relic, Segment, and Sentry. Eventvisor is open source and does not require a hosted control service, but deployment and event delivery infrastructure remain user-managed. Choose it when schema governance, environment promotion, and controlled delivery are more important than an all-in-one tracking and analytics workspace. Teams seeking a broader platform for tracking and analysis should consider a product with that wider focus instead.
