eFile1099NOW is a cloud-based service for preparing and filing 1099, W-2, and other information returns. It is aimed at businesses that want to enter or import filing data, submit supported returns electronically, and deliver recipient copies by mail or electronically. Stored payer and recipient records support future filings, making it relevant to small teams that handle recurring forms as well as one-time submissions.
Its workflow and ecosystem are practical strengths for teams already keeping records in spreadsheets or accounting software: the service supports Excel import and data transfer from QuickBooks or Xero. It also offers correction filings for supported forms, TIN matching against IRS records, and recipient delivery. Team accounts with roles and permission levels are available on paid subscriptions. Direct-to-state filing is available only for listed state and form combinations; some state returns instead go through the IRS Combined Federal/State Filing program. Teams with filing needs beyond those supported combinations may need another approach.
Pricing combines form charges with optional annual subscriptions. Basic uses pay-as-you-go filing fees and includes one user, totals and summary reports, while TIN matching costs $1 per match. The cheapest e-file-only rate shown is $3.40 per form for orders of 1–25, with costs varying by volume, form type, and filing method. Plus costs $149 per year and includes 250 free TIN matches, data export, and priority chat and email; Premium costs $399 per year and includes unlimited free TIN matches, export, and the same priority support. State filing costs extra where supported. Choose eFile1099NOW if saved records, recipient delivery, or QuickBooks and Xero transfer fit your workflow; compare alternatives if predictable all-in costs or broader direct-state coverage are priorities.
