Our verdict on Educaplay

Educaplay gives teachers a web-based way to create interactive educational games from their own content or with Ray AI. Its 19 game types include quizzes, crosswords, matching games, dictations and interactive maps. Teachers can browse public activities and copy games to adapt, while students can play without creating an Educaplay account. It is aimed at teachers who want game-based classroom activities, rather than a broader set of teaching or course-management tools.

Classroom connections are a central part of the product’s fit. Educaplay integrates with Google Classroom and Microsoft Teams Classes, as well as LTI and SCORM platforms including Moodle, Canvas and Blackboard. Teachers can share activities through links, QR codes or iframe embeds, and integrated game scores can be sent to a learning platform’s gradebook. Reports provide information on player and game performance. These options make Educaplay a practical match for teachers who want to distribute activities through an existing classroom platform and review results there.

The free Basic plan makes it possible to start without a paid subscription, while Academic and Commercial plans add SCORM and HTML downloads. Games can also be downloaded as printable PDFs. That distinction matters if offline printing is enough, but teachers who need downloadable SCORM or HTML versions should compare the paid plans. Educaplay’s game-centered scope is its main trade-off: teachers seeking a wider teaching-resource suite may prefer a different tool. Choose it for creating and sharing interactive games; look elsewhere if games are only a small part of the workflow.
