easytranscript is downloadable desktop software for turning audio and video into text, with both AI-powered automatic transcription and tools for manual transcription and editing. Its combination of automatic speaker-change detection, speaker management, configurable timestamps, and transcription rule sets such as GAT makes it a fit for students, professional transcribers, and research teams who want to refine transcripts rather than simply capture a rough draft. It runs on Windows, macOS, and Linux, and includes foot-switch controls for playback.

The plans distinguish between a limited free Test version and paid individual licenses. The Test version supports manual transcription. The Students plan costs €5 per device per month and adds manual and automatic transcription, transcript import and export, automatic backups, and saving.
