DiscoverText is cloud-based text analytics software for researchers, legal teams, government users, and organizations working with large collections of unstructured text. Its browser-based interface supports collection, search, coding, annotation, machine classification, sentiment and topic categorization, clustering, deduplication, reporting, exports, and document redaction. It fits workflows involving surveys, chats, email, customer feedback, public comments, social data, and other text sources.

Pricing gives smaller teams a clear entry point. DiscoverText offers a free plan and a 30-day trial. The Professional plan costs $99 per month and includes 100,000 data units, 25 live data feeds, one professional seat, unlimited projects, analytic and reporting tools, and adjudication tools. Enterprise costs $3,000 per month and adds 1,000,000 data units, 100 live data feeds, one enterprise seat, two professional seats, unlimited projects, and priority support. Custom Enterprise provides a customized account package. Academic access is advertised as 100% free, while the academic signup page presents a 7-day free trial.

The main strength is analytical breadth around classifier-led review. Teams can create custom machine-learning classifiers or sifters, combine them with human annotation, and use sentiment, topic, near-duplicate clustering, redaction, and interactive classifier histograms in one workflow. Integrations and collection options include X/Twitter, RSS feeds, Facebook, Twitter Search API, and Gnip feeds, with web and API access. The Enterprise API covers projects, datasets, clustering, and tag clouds. Choose DiscoverText when classification, human review, and text preparation matter more than a large collaboration seat count. Teams needing real-time Twitter collection or a lower-cost multi-seat paid plan should consider alternatives.
