Deep Rock Galactic is a sci-fi first-person shooter about dwarven space miners exploring alien caves, collecting minerals and completing mission objectives while fighting hostile creatures. Its one-to-four-player cooperative missions make it a fit for groups who want to work together through cave expeditions. A single-player mode with the Bosco robot helper offers a way to play without a group, while four classes bring distinct weapons and tools for traversal and combat.
The caves are procedurally generated and destructible, giving terrain a direct role in missions: players mine through environments as they pursue objectives and mineral extraction. This mix of exploration, combat and terrain interaction is the game's central appeal, rather than a broad range of unrelated activities.
