Our verdict on Dashworks
Dashworks was an AI workplace search assistant for small and mid-sized businesses. It connected workplace applications, documents, messages, and other sources, then returned unified search results and natural-language answers. Its key capabilities included source citations, permission-aware retrieval, custom assistants and bots, Slackbot access, a browser extension, workflows, shared topics, and real-time search through connected app APIs. It supported web, API, and Chrome extension access, with integrations including Asana, Confluence, Dropbox, Figma, GitHub, Gmail, Google Drive, and Jira.
The published plans show a Team tier at $12 per seat per month when billed monthly or $10 per seat per month when billed annually. Team included no seat minimums, unlimited usage, core integrations, file uploads, Slackbot, and workflows. Business cost $15 per seat per month monthly or $12 per seat per month annually, adding custom bots, a choice between top LLMs, org-wide integrations, AI customization, and priority support. Enterprise added SSO and SCIM, an API access add-on, custom data retention, analytics and insights, and HRIS integrations. A 14-day trial was available, but there was no free plan.
Dashworks had a useful combination of cited answers, permission synchronization, workplace integrations, and configurable assistants. Its plan structure also positioned it for teams that wanted more than basic search without starting at an enterprise-only tier. However, the standalone service was sunset: new sign-ups stopped on April 16, 2025, and web application and Slackbot logins were disabled on July 16, 2025. Teams evaluating an active AI enterprise search product should therefore choose an alternative rather than plan around Dashworks. It remains relevant for understanding its former feature set and pricing model.
