Our verdict on Dart Code Metrics
Dart Code Metrics, also called DCM, is a static-analysis and code-quality toolkit for Dart and Flutter projects. It suits developers and teams that want configurable checks spanning lint rules, code health, project structure, dependencies, and Flutter-specific widgets and assets. Local CLI and IDE workflows make it relevant to individual contributors, while higher plans add features for shared CI/CD and project oversight. Its breadth is most useful when a team wants analysis beyond conventional linting; projects seeking only a small set of basic checks may find the configuration and scope more than they need.
The published plans show a Free tier with up to 50k analyzed LOC, 100 unique lint rules, 22 code metrics, a configurable formatter, violations preview, and CLI commands for analysis and metric calculation. Pro costs $16 per seat per month and includes up to 150k analyzed LOC, 536 unique lint rules, rule configurability, presets, and widget and image-asset analysis. Teams costs $80 per month and adds unlimited analyzed LOC, CI/CD keys and integrations, seat management, dashboards, and dedicated support.
