Convoke review
A capable event toolkit for smaller church organizations with low-volume programs.

Convoke is web-based event management software for camps, retreats, conferences, and church retreats. It is aimed at organizations that need more than a registration form, combining event pages, custom questions, digital waivers, payments, health information, check-in, reporting, and family portals in one system. Its fit is strongest for smaller organizations running low-volume events, while the available tools also address larger or multi-site operations through concurrent events and multiple organizations under one login.
The freemium model provides a free entry point, with the Starter plan including every feature, a custom website and registration, medical tracking, check-in, and reporting. Growth is priced at $3 USD per registered attendee and adds unlimited events and team members, automatic installment plans, and discounts. Scale costs $5 USD per registered attendee and adds multiple organizations under one login plus priority support. Stripe processing fees apply to paid registrations, so organizations collecting payments should account for both the per-attendee charge and payment processing.
Convoke’s standout strength is its coverage of event operations alongside registration. Conditional questions, timestamped waiver consent, allergy and medication tracking, incident tracking, tablet-friendly check-in and check-out, saved reports, and CSV export support workflows that are often handled separately. The family portal gives registrants access to registrations, balances, and payments. The trade-off is a web-only platform with Stripe as its listed integration, and the free entry point is capped at 50 attendees. Organizations needing a focused registration and operations system for occasional or smaller church events should consider Convoke; teams seeking a broader integration ecosystem or higher-volume free usage may prefer an alternative.
