Our verdict on Comwave Cloud Fax
Comwave Cloud Fax is a paid online fax service for businesses that want to send and receive faxes without dedicated hardware. Inbound faxes are forwarded to registered email addresses, while outbound faxes can be sent by email, from a computer or smartphone, and through Microsoft Office or Microsoft Outlook. The service is aimed at small businesses and distributed teams that need straightforward digital fax access, particularly in Microsoft-focused workplaces.
The plan structure is simple: Comwave lists one paid plan named Comwave Cloud Fax, with monthly billing. It includes inbound and outbound digital faxing, PDF and TIFF attachments, success or failure notifications, fax viewing and archiving, and up to five registered email addresses for outbound faxing. The published plan also specifies no set page limit, although individual files are subject to a 10 MB limit. This makes the service easier to evaluate than a multi-tier offering, but it provides less room for teams that need broader account capacity or different feature levels.
Its strongest fit is an email-centered workflow. Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook, and general email access keep sending and receiving close to tools many business teams already use, while notifications and archiving support routine document handling. The tradeoff is a narrow platform and feature scope: the service centers on web and email-based faxing rather than a wider ecosystem of fax workflows. Choose Comwave Cloud Fax for basic inbound and outbound faxing with Microsoft access; consider an alternative if you need larger file handling, more than five email addresses, a free option, or broader platform coverage.
