ComplyLoft PDF Accessibility Checker is a browser-based tool for checking PDF documents against PDF/UA and selected WCAG 2.1 Level AA requirements. It is aimed at users who need a free first pass on PDF structure without creating an account. Uploads can be up to 10 MB, and the tool returns a summary report after processing. It checks tagged document structure, defined reading order, table row, column and header markup, image and figure alternative text, form-field labels, and declared document language.
The checker’s strongest capability is focused automated validation. It uses the veraPDF validator for PDF/UA checks and adds a basic body-text colour-contrast heuristic for text over solid backgrounds. Results are mapped to WCAG 2.1 Level AA guidelines, which can help connect PDF-specific findings with a broader accessibility framework. Uploaded PDFs are deleted after processing, while the web-only delivery keeps the workflow limited to browser-based document checks.
