Our verdict on Coherence
Coherence brings shared email and SMS conversations into a team workspace for sales, support, and operations teams. Teammates can view threaded conversations, assign or claim them, add internal notes with @mentions, and see who is viewing or replying. Gmail, Google Workspace, Outlook, and Microsoft 365 are supported, while the product is available on web and Android. Small teams exploring shared-inbox collaboration can start with the free plan, but its Shared Inbox feature is reserved for paid tiers.
The plan structure makes that boundary important. Free is $0 monthly and includes 3 users, 2,500 records, and 50 shared AI credits per month, but no Shared Inbox. Starter supports up to 10 users, 25,000 records, and 500 AI credits per month, also without Shared Inbox. Pro costs $12 per user per month and includes Shared Inbox, up to 25 users, 100,000 records, and 2,500 AI credits monthly. Team includes Shared Inbox, up to 100 users, 500,000 records, and 10,000 AI credits per month, with a 10-seat minimum; its price is not stated here. A 7-day free trial is offered. The vendor says regional pricing applies and the local-currency amount appears at checkout.
The collaboration layer goes beyond assigning a thread: users can add priorities and statuses, snooze conversations, set reminders and response targets, and use mailbox categories, custom fields, and rules. Conversations can be linked to customer or account records. Knowledge-backed reply suggestions include source references and require human review, which can help teams keep responses grounded in published articles. Choose Coherence if your team needs shared Gmail or Outlook workflows plus SMS and record context, and can work within web or Android. It is a weaker fit if you need Shared Inbox on a free plan or broader platform coverage.
