Our verdict on CloudVeil
CloudVeil is a content-filtering product for families, businesses, churches, and schools. It applies policies through router-based DNS filtering, Android and iOS applications, Windows and macOS agents, and filtered browsers. Core controls include predefined website and app categories, allowlists, blocklists, Android app blocking, time restrictions, and temporary relaxed policies. Its deployment options suit households and organizations that need filtering across networks, devices, or both.
The CloudVeil DNS plan costs $8.99 USD per location per month and includes router-based DNS filtering, adult and malicious content blocking, and unlimited devices per location. The Student Device Management License costs $40 USD per device per year and adds Windows 10/11 Professional support, Group Policy restrictions, and server-based file storage. The published plans show different billing units: the DNS plan is charged per location, while student device management is charged per device. CloudVeil also supports Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android, with deployment through DNS, agents, browsers, and routers.
CloudVeil’s standout strength is the range of controls for maintaining filtering policies. Android users can receive app blocking and time restrictions, iOS supports whole-device filtering with Global, and Windows and macOS agents provide content filtering. Tamper-resistance and uninstall-attempt notifications are useful where users may try to bypass controls. The trade-offs are a paid-only entry point, fewer integrations, and no verified reporting. Choose CloudVeil for paid family or organizational filtering with multiple deployment paths and resistance to removal; consider an alternative if free access, extensive integrations, or reporting is a priority.
