ClockIn Portal review
A low-cost clock with approvals, exports, mobile tracking, and basic payroll reporting.

ClockIn Portal is a cloud-based employee time-tracking system for small and midsize businesses. It covers clock-in and clock-out, unpaid lunch breaks, shift notes, mileage reporting, employee timesheets, and payroll reports. Employees can track time through the web, iPhone, iPad, and Android apps, while employers can manage roles, departments, permissions, and approved access points. It is a practical fit for teams that need a straightforward clock rather than a broad workforce management platform.
Pricing is simple. The first user is always free, and the Paid plan costs $4 per user per month, billed at the end of each month for active users only. Users can cancel anytime, and a 30-day trial is available. Paid functionality includes timesheet management, manual timesheet requests with supervisor approval, payroll reports covering overtime, deductions, bonuses, and mileage reimbursement, plus exports in HTML, PDF, and XLS formats. The plan structure keeps the entry point low for very small teams while making active-user billing easier to control.
Platform coverage is useful for distributed or mobile teams, with web, iOS, and Android access and access points that restrict clock-ins to approved browsers or networks. Google Apps for Work and Outlook integrations support a basic workplace ecosystem, but the integration range is limited. Choose ClockIn Portal if your priority is affordable time capture, approvals, payroll-oriented reporting, and essential access controls. Consider an alternative if you need a wider integration ecosystem or a deeper feature set beyond core attendance and timesheet workflows.
