Our verdict on Citadel Servers Enshrouded Hosting
Citadel Servers Enshrouded Hosting provides managed game servers for PC players using Steam. It is aimed at groups that want a hosted world with administrative control, file access, backups, and mod support without managing server infrastructure directly. The service includes a control panel for configuration, server monitoring, reinstalling, and viewing logs, alongside administrator permissions and password protection.
The published plan structure is straightforward: Enshrouded Game Hosting costs £22 per month and supports up to 16 players at launch. That single plan includes PC (Steam) support, server configuration, full FTP access, manual world uploads, scheduled backups, and one-click installation for supported mods. Customers can also switch locations, while start, stop, restart, and reinstall controls provide practical control over the server lifecycle. DDoS protection is included for servers exposed to internet traffic.
Citadel is a good fit for an established group that wants a 16-slot server with world management, scheduled backups, and granular administration options. FTP access and manual world uploads are useful for owners who want direct control over files and saved worlds, while the panel keeps routine management in one place. The main trade-off is cost: the listed service is £22 monthly, with no free plan, and the capacity is capped at 16 players at launch. Groups seeking a larger player capacity, a different platform, or a lower-cost entry point should consider alternatives designed around those requirements.
