Our verdict on ChorePoints
ChorePoints is a mobile chore and rewards app for parents and children on iOS and Android. Parents can create custom chores or select from a chore library, assign responsibilities to one or more children, set one-time or repeating schedules, and attach point values. Children receive their own chore views and can track progress toward rewards. Shared-device profiles support PINs or individual logins, while the published account limits provide two parent logins and up to ten kid profiles.
The approval workflow is the product’s clearest strength for families that want more than a simple checklist. Parents can review completions, approve them, or request another attempt. Completion review can use no-photo, parent-photo, or optional AI methods, giving households control over how evidence is handled. The app also records recurring household tasks, reminders, and completion history. These controls suit families with specific standards for chores, rotating responsibilities, or reward eligibility.
ChorePoints is paid software with a 14-day trial available to eligible families. The Monthly plan costs $4.99 per family per month, and the Yearly plan costs $49.99 per family per year. Both plans include two parent logins, up to ten kid profiles, chores and rewards, Premium Family Hub tools, and optional AI with usage limits. Family Hub also includes lists, calendars, inventory, recipes, and scheduled maintenance tasks. Choose ChorePoints if approval detail, rewards, and household organization are priorities; families seeking a free chore app or a simpler checklist may prefer a less feature-heavy option.
