Our verdict on ChoreKeep
ChoreKeep is a mobile chore-management app for families, couples, roommates, and other shared homes. Household members can create or join a shared household with an invite code, organize chores by room, assign tasks to one or more people, set due dates and effort levels, and schedule one-time or recurring work. The app supports iOS and Android, making it suited to households that coordinate chores from mobile devices rather than a single shared screen.
The free plan covers one household and includes unlimited one-off and repeating chores, assignees, due dates, effort levels, reminders, an activity feed, and a leaderboard. ChoreKeep also provides custom chore reminders, push notifications, completion history, and dashboard, week, and calendar views. These features give households several ways to see upcoming work and review completed tasks. Effort-based points and leaderboards add a measurable layer for homes that want to recognize participation, while room organization keeps task lists tied to areas of the home.
The Pro monthly and Pro annual plans add multiple households, round-robin rotation for repeating chores, and Vacation Mode. Rotation is particularly relevant when recurring responsibilities need to move between household members, while Vacation Mode addresses temporary changes to availability. Households that need only shared lists, assignments, reminders, and tracking can start with Free. Pro is the better fit for homes coordinating more than one household or wanting automatic rotation and vacation-aware planning. ChoreKeep is less suited to teams seeking broader project-management functions or platforms beyond mobile household chore coordination.
