Our verdict on Certify The Web

Certify The Web is a certificate automation suite for requesting, deploying, renewing, and monitoring TLS certificates. It is aimed at Windows-heavy teams, particularly those managing IIS and multiple servers, while also supporting Linux and macOS through its Management Agent. The product family includes a Windows desktop and server application, a cross-platform Management Hub, a hosted Dashboard, and Certify DNS for delegated ACME DNS challenges. It supports public, private, and enterprise ACME certificate authorities, with HTTP and DNS validation options.

Automation is the main strength. Certify The Web can issue and renew certificates through ACME, send failure notifications, deploy certificates to IIS and other services, and monitor renewals through dashboard reporting. DNS provider integrations include Cloudflare, AWS Route53, Azure DNS, and GoDaddy, while custom DNS automation extends validation workflows. Deployment tasks can use PowerShell, Bash, SSH, and SFTP. Integrations with Let's Encrypt, Google Trust Services, ZeroSSL, Actalis, Apache, nginx, Tomcat, Microsoft Exchange, Azure Key Vault, HashiCorp Vault, and Certbot give it broad ecosystem coverage.

Pricing starts at $4.99 per install per month, while annual license options begin with Starter at $59 per 1 year and Professional at $149 per 1 year. Power Pro costs $649 per 1 year or $1,199 per 2 years, and includes Certify Management Hub. Enterprise costs $1,999 per 1 year, $3,499 per 2 years, or $5,499 per 3 years, also including the Hub. All listed paid plans include unlimited certificates, the Certificate Manager, and Management Agent. The free evaluation has no feature limitations and no time limit, although commercial and funded organizations require a license. Choose it for automated deployment and centralized certificate operations; consider a narrower tool if its multi-component suite is more than your environment needs.
