Our verdict on Cegid Revo KDS

For restaurants running Cegid Revo XEF, Cegid Revo KDS puts incoming orders on kitchen screens and follows each dish through preparation. Teams can define status workflows for individual dishes or categories, while station profiles filter what each screen displays. Preparation timers, visual status colors, pending-item totals and closed-order retrieval help staff follow production. A central KDS can collect information from secondary screens, and ready notifications can be sent to the dining-room POS. The product is intended for restaurants coordinating kitchen production with front-of-house service.

The pricing model is contact sales, and KDS 2 requires an activated license. Setup uses a separate back-office to configure screens and workflows, with deployment across cloud and mobile environments. The documented device coverage includes iPads and specified Android monitors, while the listed platforms are web, iOS and Android. Support channels comprise tickets and documentation. These arrangements suit operators already standardizing their restaurant technology around Cegid Revo and willing to manage screen profiles and status rules as part of rollout.

Its strongest fit is a Cegid Revo XEF operation that needs station routing, order-status tracking and an expo-style central screen without adding another kitchen platform. The integration is Cegid Revo XEF, keeping the workflow closely tied to that point-of-sale system. Restaurants using another POS, or seeking a KDS with a broader integration ecosystem, should choose an alternative. Likewise, teams wanting a standalone kitchen display product may find the required Cegid environment too narrow. Choose Cegid Revo KDS when coordinated kitchen and dining-room updates inside Revo are the priority.
