Our verdict on Calculator Lock - Photo Vault

Calculator Lock - Photo Vault is an Android privacy app from Sababa Creations that disguises private storage behind a working calculator interface. It is aimed at Android users who want to protect photos, videos, audio, PDFs, files and notes with PIN-based access. Separate encrypted vaults can use different PINs, while private albums, media categories, Trash, PDF preview and in-app playback organize stored content. Secure Notes adds searchable, pinnable text storage alongside media and files.

Its standout strength is the combination of discretion and file-type breadth. Optional Intruder Detection uses the front camera, while screenshot protection and clipboard cleanup address common ways private content can be exposed during use. The app also supports custom albums and separate vaults, making it a closer fit for users who need multiple private collections than for someone seeking only a basic photo locker. Local encrypted app-private storage keeps the vault on the device, but this also makes device-level storage management important.

The published plans show a free tier and a Pro tier delivered through in-app purchases. Pro adds unlimited vaults, custom albums, larger bulk imports, custom auto-lock timing and Intruder Detection. The app connects to Google Play Billing and uses Firebase, AdMob and Google UMP. Its Android-only, local-first design suits users who prioritize a disguised vault and offline device storage. Choose another option if cloud backup, cross-platform access or a private camera is central to your workflow.
