Our verdict on Bunched
Bunched is a private photo and video storage service for families that want invited groups rather than public sharing. It supports multiple albums, timeline and memory organisation, photo and video uploads, reactions, comments, notifications, and automatic slideshows. Member and admin controls help families manage access, while Grandparent Mode provides a simplified experience through a secure web link. Bunched is available on the web, iOS, and Android, making it suitable for relatives using different devices.
The free plan includes a private family album, photo and video sharing, invite-only access, Grandparent Mode Starter, and end-to-end encryption. A seven-day free trial is available. Bunched+ Monthly and Bunched+ Annually add unlimited photos and videos, full-quality uploads, one subscription for everyone, full Grandparent Mode, reactions, and comments. The paid options are designed for families that want higher upload capacity and original-quality media across the group.
Security and family access are the clearest focus. Invite-only spaces, end-to-end encryption, member management, and screenshot and screen-recording protection give families more control over shared memories than an open social platform. Grandparent Mode is also a practical feature for relatives who need a simpler way to browse. Bunched should suit families prioritising privacy, shared albums, and easy participation across generations. Those looking for a broader general-purpose storage service or advanced media-management tools may prefer an alternative with a wider focus.
