Our verdict on BudgetPak

BudgetPak is XLerant’s cloud-based budgeting, forecasting, and reporting software for small and mid-sized organizations. It is designed for finance teams and budget managers that need structured workflows across revenue and expense planning, workforce planning, forecasting, scenario analysis, approvals, reporting, and consolidation. Delivered through web browsers with API and Excel integration options, it supports both finance-led planning and department-specific budget navigation.

Pricing is quote-based and available through annual, monthly, and three-year agreements, with fixed-fee implementation. The product’s integration profile is suited to organizations that already manage financial data in systems such as Blackbaud, Financial Edge, Fund EZ, Abila MIP, Accpac, Banner, Datatel, Ellucian Colleague, Great Plains, Intaact, JDEdwards, Jenzabar, and MS Dynamics. API and Excel-based data integration provide additional options for moving financial and general-ledger data into planning workflows.

BudgetPak’s strongest case is breadth within nonprofit-oriented financial planning.
