Our verdict on Browserless
Browserless provides managed headless browsers for automation, scraping, testing, screenshots, PDFs, content extraction, and AI-agent workflows. It suits development teams that want to connect existing Puppeteer or Playwright code through WebSocket endpoints, call REST APIs, build BrowserQL GraphQL automations, or deploy browsers privately with Docker. Chrome, WebKit, and Firefox support broadens browser coverage, while persistent sessions, reconnects, recordings, regional endpoints, and load balancing address longer-running or distributed workflows.
The free plan includes BrowserQL and its editor, 1k units per month, two maximum concurrent browsers, a two-minute maximum session time, and all three supported browser engines. The $25-per-month Prototyping plan, billed annually, raises usage to 20k units, extends sessions to 15 minutes, adds seven-day persisted sessions and replays storage, and includes basic email and chat support. Starter costs $140 per month and adds 180k units, 30-minute sessions, 30-day storage, and email, chat, and video support. Scale costs $350 per month, includes 500k units, 60-minute sessions, 90-day storage, and a seven-day log search window. Enterprise adds private deployments or licensed self-hosting, custom session persistence, geotargeted proxy limits, GPU infrastructure, SSO, and user roles.
Browserless fits teams that need several automation interfaces and a choice between managed cloud infrastructure and self-hosting. Integrations include n8n, Zapier, Browser Use, Vercel AI SDK, LangChain, and MCP, with AI-agent workflows supported alongside conventional browser automation. Stealth mode, CAPTCHA solving, live debugging, and session recording extend its scope beyond basic page control. Teams with short, predictable workloads can start on Free or Prototyping, while organizations requiring private infrastructure or identity controls should consider Enterprise. It is less suitable when a simple local browser script is enough or when usage needs to be expressed as a straightforward run quota.
