Our verdict on Bookido
Bookido is web-based appointment and salon-management software for beauty salons, barbershops, spas, and other appointment-based businesses in the Dominican Republic. It suits independent operators and small multi-staff salons that need online booking, staff schedules, client records, reminders, payments, and commission tracking without adopting a broader business platform. Access from phones and tablets, local Spanish-language support, and integrations with WhatsApp Business, Instagram, Meta, and Google Calendar support its regional, messaging-led positioning.
Pricing is structured around a free plan and a Founder plan. Free includes online booking and basic salon management, making it a straightforward starting point for a small salon evaluating digital appointments. Founder adds unlimited online bookings, automatic WhatsApp reminders, multiple professionals and services, client history, Google Calendar synchronization, and a professional website. The vendor also describes the Founder price as limited and frozen for life, while a 30-day free trial is available. That structure makes Bookido especially relevant for businesses that want to begin with core booking and expand into reminders, records, and team workflows.
Bookido’s strongest depth is in day-to-day salon coordination. Stylist-specific calendars, service and schedule management, client records for formulas, allergies, preferences, and notes, automatic commission calculation, appointment deposits, advance payments, and multi-location management cover operational needs beyond a simple booking form. The trade-off is its web-only delivery and narrow regional positioning. Salons in the Dominican Republic seeking WhatsApp-first scheduling and practical staff management should find the feature mix aligned with their workflow; businesses needing a broader platform footprint or a more internationally oriented product should consider alternatives.
