Bifrost is an open-source AI gateway for developers, small teams, and organizations operating AI systems at scale. It provides a unified OpenAI-compatible API across model providers, with automatic provider and model fallbacks, weighted load balancing, virtual keys, budgets, rate limits, observability, semantic caching, and an MCP gateway for external tools. It runs through web and API access, Linux, and self-hosted deployments, including containers, Kubernetes, or a Go binary.

Its platform fit is broad. Bifrost lists integrations with OpenAI, Anthropic, Google GenAI, LiteLLM, LangChain, AWS Bedrock, Azure, Google Vertex, and Ollama. For monitoring and data workflows, it supports Datadog, OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Kafka, BigQuery, and Pub/Sub.
