Our verdict on BGNinja
BGNinja is a browser-based AI tool for removing or replacing backgrounds in still images. It suits people working with product photos, portraits, logos, pets and similar images who want transparent PNG cutouts without creating an account. JPG, PNG, WEBP and HEIC files are supported, and processed images are automatically deleted. Commercial use is supported, while the web and API versions cover both manual editing and automated workflows.
Pricing is centered on free access and one-time passes rather than recurring subscriptions. The Free plan provides transparent PNG output, no watermark, images up to 30 megapixels and 99 MB per photo, and batches of three. The free web tier allows 10 photos per day, while the API has a separate limit of 10 requests per day. A 24-hour pass costs €3, and a 30-day pass costs €5. Both paid options raise the maximum image size to 100 megapixels and batch capacity to 25 photos. The passes add capacity without introducing a recurring commitment.
