BELLOWS is a free, open-source JavaScript audio engine that runs in a web page. It is designed for developers and music-technology creators building browser-based instruments, generative music tools, and audio applications. Its scope covers browser-native synthesis, drum machines, samplers, SoundFont and SFZ sample support, sequencing, effects, MIDI, offline WAV rendering, and audio analysis. Its strongest fit is the web platform. BELLOWS brings together synthesis, sequencing, musical theory and tuning tools, effects such as delays, reverbs, compression, and EQ, plus MIDI file and Web MIDI support.
