BackupLABS GitHub Backup is a cloud service for creating off-platform copies of GitHub repositories and related records. It is aimed at teams that want routine protection for code and collaboration history without relying only on GitHub. Automated daily backups cover repositories, commits, branches, tags, public and private Gists, issues, pull requests, comments, milestones, and repository wikis and documentation. On-demand backups provide an additional option when a team wants a copy outside the normal schedule.

Its restore approach is cautious: backups can be restored as a new GitHub repository rather than overwriting live data, or downloaded as ZIP archives. Optional copies can go to Dropbox, Google Drive, or Amazon S3. That makes the service relevant to teams seeking a GitHub-focused backup workflow with a choice of restore destination and storage copy, rather than a broader multi-platform backup product. The platform is web-based, with email and documentation support. Published compliance details include SOC 2, GDPR, ISO 27001, and two-factor authentication.

There is no free plan, but a 14-day trial is available and does not require a card. Essentials provides one backup per day, 30-day retention, AES-256 encryption, data residency selection, and standard human support. Pro raises frequency to every 12 hours and retention to 90 days, and adds bring-your-own-storage, audit trail and activity logs, and priority engineering support. Enterprise adds custom version retention, customer encryption keys, Okta and Google SSO, custom contracts and SLAs, and a dedicated account manager. Choose it if GitHub is the source that needs routine backup and safe separate restores; teams needing backups from other source platforms should look elsewhere.
