Our verdict on Autaxo DMS

Autaxo DMS is a cloud-based dealer management system for independent used-car dealers and small to midsize dealerships, particularly in Germany. It brings vehicle records, purchasing and sales workflows, lead and customer management, digital contracts, e-signatures and invoicing together. The mix is aimed at dealers who want inventory and sales administration alongside German VAT margin-scheme handling and accounting handoffs, rather than a system for workshop operations.

The pricing starts with an Unlimited Demo, a no-time-limit trial with 10 credits and five vehicle images; it does not require a payment method. DMS One costs €49 per month or €559 per year and includes unlimited inventory, 70 monthly credits, custom showrooms and mobile.de and AutoScout24 integrations. Pro is €79 monthly or €899 annually, adding 150 monthly credits, bank integration with automatic payment matching and granular roles and permissions. Business costs €149 monthly or €1,599 annually, with 300 monthly credits and Pro features. Prices exclude VAT. An XS credit pack costs €15 one time for 50 credits, and purchased credits do not expire.

Its clearest fit is the German dealership workflow: §25a VAT margin-scheme logic, a vehicle trade register, DATEV exports and booking data service sit alongside listing management for mobile.de and AutoScout24. WhatsApp is also listed as an integration. AI vehicle-image optimization and an assistant are included, with mobile access on iOS and Android as well as web. Autaxo states that workshop processes are not included, so dealers needing service operations should look elsewhere. Small dealers focused on vehicle sales, accounting handoffs and online listings are the stronger match; those seeking a broader service-capable DMS are not.
